Dr  Joanne Banks and Dr Chelsea Whittaker, along with Judith McKenzie, Robyn Beere, Jennifer Banks, Babalwa Tyabashe-Phume, new article was published in the European Journal of Inclusive Education. "The politics of inclusion: Reflections of policymakers on evidence informed policy in Ireland and South Africa " https://tidsskrift.dk/ejie/article/view/153307 explores how research evidence is used in the development of inclusive education policy in Ireland and South Africa.  Understanding the factors that shape education policy is crucial for creating more inclusive systems. As Dr Joanne Banks notes: “Evidence alone rarely drives education policy. Political pressures, stakeholder advocacy and long-established systems all shape decision-making. Strengthening collaboration between universities and policymakers is essential if research is to support more inclusive education systems.”
