Course Content
This programme responds to a clearly identified need in the professional development of practitioners across the Further Education and Training (FET) sector. Historically, FET has been underserved in terms of sector-specific professional learning opportunities, particularly in relation to diversity and inclusion. The course was founded through collaboration between the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin, and City of Dublin ETB, drawing on shared expertise in research, policy, and practice. Building on this foundation, the programme has been designed to be relevant to practitioners working across a wide range of FET contexts and is open to staff from ETBs nationally, as well as private and community education providers. Delivery is led by staff from Trinity, with contributions from experienced FET practitioners.
Modules include: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Inclusive Classroom Practices through a UDL lens; and Speaking to Diversity.
