This course is offered subject to minimum registration numbers.

Russian is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and the eighth-most spoken in the world, with more than 150 million native speakers. Beyond the language, Russia has rich history and cultural and literary heritage.

The Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies within the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies is running language and culture courses in Russian at the Beginners, Lower Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced levels, depending on demand.

Schedule and Details

Courses run for 22 weeks, spread over two academic terms – Michaelmas (starting late September) and Hilary (starting January). All classes take place in-person on Trinity's central campus.

Course Fees

€660

This fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.

Apply

You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies evening courses.

Registration will not be available in January unless an applicant has the necessary language levels to join a continuing group and receives permission of the instructor and School administration.
