Irish and EU students

Admission is through the normal Central Application Office (CAO) channels. Further information can also be found on the Admissions Office website.

Non-EU Students

This programme is not open to non-EU applicants.

FETAC

Students with appropriate FETAC (Level 5) qualifications and modules, with a minimum of distinctions in five modules, can be admitted on a competitive basis to the following Degree programmes at Trinity College Dublin. It is expected that there will be approximately 7 places in total available across the programmes for applicants presenting FETAC qualifications.

Trinity Access Programme

These are one-year, full-time courses that prepare young adults and mature students to go on and study at degree level in Trinity. There are three routes a

Three application routes are available:

• Higher Education Access Route (HEAR)

  Places are available for Leaving Certificate pupils from schools affiliated to third level access programmes.

• TAP foundation course for young adults

  This one-year course aims to equip students with the skills they will need to benefit from and participate in a third-level education course. It is open to Leaving Certificate pupils from schools affiliated to third level access

• TAP foundation course for mature students

  This one-year course prepares mature students (EU students who are over twenty three years of age on 1 January of the proposed year of entry) for entry to undergraduate studies at Trinity College and other third-level institutions.

DARE Scheme - Disability Access Route to Education (DARE).

Trinity has a supplementary application procedure in place for students from non-traditional learning backgrounds, which includes students with disabilities. DARE is a third level admissions scheme for school leavers who have a disability or specific learning difficulty.
