This course is offered subject to minimum registration numbers.

Bulgaria is the oldest country in Europe, with the longest continuing name since establishment. Bulgarian history and heritage are rich and diverse, and the Bulgarian language is a Slavic language of mixed origins. It is one of the official EU languages since 2007. 

The Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies within the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies will run language and culture courses in Bulgarian at the Beginners, Lower Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced levels, depending on demand.

Schedule and Details

Each course runs for 22 weeks (two-hour classes once a week) spread over two terms – Michaelmas term (starting late September) and Hilary term (starting January). All classes take place in-person on Trinity's central campus.

€660

This fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.

Apply

You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies evening courses.

Registration will not be available in January unless an applicant has the necessary language level to join a continuing group and with permission of the instructor and School administration.
