Micro-credential fee subsidy with 50% - 80% funding for eligible learners.
All Trinity Micro-credentials qualify for funding between 50 and 80% for eligible learners under the new HCI Pillar 3 Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidy, which is funded by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
How do I apply for the MC Learner Fee Subsidy?
- Find the micro-credential you wish to apply for on the Trinity website and click the Apply link to apply.
- If your application for the micro-credential is successful, you will receive an offer of a place from Trinity, which you should accept.
- At the time of your offer, you will also receive an email from the relevant Trinity Academic School asking you to complete an additional Learner Fee Subsidy form to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the Learner Fee Subsidy.
Note - There are a limited number of subsidised places available on each micro-credential, which will be allocated in order of receipt of the Learner Fee Subsidy form.

HCI Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidies are available in fixed numbers from March 2024 until October 2025 and the subsidy will be issued on a first come first serve basis to eligible applicants unless otherwise stated.
