Nursing is once again Trinity College’s top-ranked subject in the world according to new rankings released by higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
Trinity College Dublin has excelled again, achieving a top tier ranking by subject in the QS World University Rankings 2026 for Nursing. Scoring first in Ireland, and the EU, Trinity has climbed to 10th place in 2026 from 20th place in 2025.

This is an outstanding achievement recognising the distinct contributions each of the disciplines within the School of Nursing & Midwifery makes to healthcare education and to Trinity College.

The QS 2026 Subject Rankings are compiled from a review of 1,700 universities across 55 academic disciplines.
University subjects are scored according to metrics including reputation, research and collaborations.
Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s leading university and placed 75th in the world in the 2026 QS World University Rankings.
