Biography

Kathleen Warner Yeates is a professional actor, director, writer, theatre maker, voice artist and arts facilitator, as well as being the director/owner of Flying Turtle Productions, an independent studio providing a wide variety of educational and creative services working at “the intersection of arts and the world”. https://flyingturtleproductions.com/ 

In arts education, Kathleen has worked with such renowned companies as TEAM Educational Theatre Company in Ireland, ENACT in New York City, the School Completion Program in Dublin as a drama facilitator, and most recently the Sorgente Project with Trinity University. She was honoured to work in the realm of embodied language learning with migrants and refugees during her time with the Sorgente Project and has written a chapter in the subsequent book about that exploration entitled “Engaging Refugees, Migrants and their Teachers in Performative Language Pedagogy. The Sorgente Research Project”, published by Routledge. Additionally, Kathleen was featured along with the Sorgente team in the RTE Changemakers TV series. Kathleen is a specialist in the voice and improvisation, as well as collaborative theatre making. Originally from the U.S., she has a BFA in Related Arts and Theatre from Kutztown University, and attended the 2 year Masters program as a graduate assistant at Villanova University for Acting and Directing. She has worked as a facilitator at Villanova University, Penn State University and TU School of Media, as well as many other guest workshop facilitations. Now based in Ireland, Kathleen continues to work in theatre, film, TV and animation.
