Biography

Iseult is a past pupil of Coláiste Íde, an Irish language boarding school in the west Kerry Gaeltacht of Corca Dhuibhne. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Irish and Music at University College Dublin, where she was awarded Bonn Óir an Chumainn Ghaelaigh and was a recipient of the Bord na Gaeilge scholarship. Following this, she completed the Professional Master of Education at Trinity College Dublin. She worked as a post-primary teacher in a Gaelcholáiste for a number of years teaching Irish, Music, Social Personal and Health Education, and Wellbeing. She has worked as a tutor with Bord na Gaeilge UCD, teaching Irish and has taught Irish to adults and teenagers with Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh. She was a Fulbright scholar in 2019-2020 where she taught Irish at Idaho State University. Following this, she completed the M.Oid san Oideachas Lán-Ghaeilge agus Gaeltachta in Mary Immaculate College. Iseult is a teaching fellow at Trinity College where she coordinates two modules: Inniúlacht Teanga sa Ghaeilge and An Dea-chleachtas i suíomhanna lán-Ghaeilge agus Gaeltachta as well as the Ranganna Teagaisc. She is currently in her 2nd year of the Professional Doctorate in Education where she will investigate teachers and students’ perceptions of creative pedagogy in the Irish language class at post-primary level.
