Ms Jungmi (Ashley) Hur

Biography

Ashley is a PhD candidate in the School of Education at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Her research examines drama-based pedagogy's influence on Korean students' creative writing abilities in learning English as a second language. Her academic interests include drama education, performative language teaching and learning, ESL creative writing, second language writing, and English education. She holds an MA in Drama Education and English Language Teaching at Warwick University, England. After completing her master's degree, she has seven years of professional experience as a drama practitioner in an ESL context and English teacher trainer in South Korea before commencing her PhD course.
