Dr. Dunzhu Li

Research Fellow, CRANN

Dunzhu Li’s research involves employing advanced technologies/materials to solve grand environmental challenges (i.e., plastics/microplastics contamination, water/wastewater pollution). He completed his PhD at the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at Trinity College Dublin in 2019. He then worked as a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN) in Ireland. To date, he has published 20+ impactful papers (including Nature Food and Environmental Science and Technology) and filed 3 patents. Dr. Li is also serving as the youth editor for the peer-reviewed journal of Eco-Environment & Health (EEH) and guest editor for the scientific journal of Water, respectively.

Dr. Li as a designer joined Irish Bloom in 2019, which results in around 120,000 visitors at the garden festival. The garden was picked as the Media's Favourite Garden and awarded Silver Gilt Medal. In 2023, Dr. Li was awarded Scientist Award by the International Association of Advanced Materials.
