Orlaith Tunney

Orlaith works as a careers consultant with a wealth of experience working with students studying the arts and humanities who have a broad range of career interests. She supports students in the Schools of Creative Arts | English | Histories & Humanities | Languages, Literatures & Cultural Sciences | Religion, Theology & Peace Studies. Also MultiFaculty MultiSchool course combinations of the above schools. She is committed to delivering what students need to reach their career potential. To that end she welcomes ideas and feedback from all students, first year undergraduate to final year PhD, staff, and employers. Please email her at orlaith.tunney@tcd.ie.

Orlaith currently co-leads the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) project for the service with Joel McKeever, Employability Officer. She is an active member of the Association of HE Careers Services (AHECS, Ireland), National Institute for Careers Education and Counselling (NICEC, UK) and Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS, UK). She is a former director of AHECS. Orlaith has an MA in Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education from the University of Warwick, a HDip Third Level Teaching & Learning from TUD, a HDip in Guidance and Counselling and a BSc in Food Science & Technology both from UCC. She is also certified to administer the MBTI assessment tool. Before coming to Trinity, she worked as a Food Technologist & Sales Executive in mainland Europe.
