Participate in our Trinity Careers Fairs

The Trinity Careers Service will hold our annual Careers Fairs as virtual events in Autumn 2021.

Trinity’s Careers Fairs help to connect Trinity students with leading national and global employers. The information and advice that students receive from employers at Fairs play a key role in developing their skills and knowledge and informing their career choice as they enter the graduate labour market and transition into professional life. As virtual events, our Careers Fairs will be flexible to facilitate a broad range of student attendance and interactive to enhance student-employer connections and build your employer brand.
Our careers fairs are marketed through:

  • Trinity Careers Service website and publications
  • MyCareer event email to 19,000 students with targeted promotion to specific student groups where relevant
  • Social media channels
  • Student newspapers

Information for Exhibitors

Trinity's Virtual Careers Fairs 2021 will all take place on the Graduateland platform.

To help you get ready for our Fairs and to set up your company on the platform, we have compiled some information and resources below. These include links to Graduateland's knowledge centre with articles and videos to help you make your stand a success.

We recommend that exhibitors set up your company stand on Graduateland by Wednesday, 15th September 2021. After this date, students will be able to login to Graduateland to browse company stands, and book individual video conversations with you. You will be able to make changes to your stand up until the day of the Fair.

If you have attended another Fair on Graduateland, you can simply import the same stand from a past event. All information and materials from previous stand will be imported.

How do I register with Graduateland for Trinity's Virtual Careers Fairs?

If this is your first time using Graduateland create a recruiter profile account at https://trinity.careergate.ie/recruiter/login/

If you have used Graduateland before, log in with your username and password, select the Trinity Virtual Careers Fair you have booked to attend [see links in table above] and we will confirm your registration with the platform for our Fair. If you already have a stand set up elsewhere on the Graduateland platform, you will be given the option to copy this to our Fair portal.

How do I set up my company stand?

Once registered with Graduateland, you will need to set up your company stand by adding a company description and profile image. You can also add the jobs that you have available. This is done easily as part of the stand setup interface. You will find more information in the following video.

How do I add video conversations to my company stand?

Video conversations are a way for you to meet our students "face to face". Each representative on your stand can offer pre-bookable video conversation appointment slots to students. You can then review the students' profiles, accept their requests for a booking or suggest alternative times and/or other recruiters on your stand. Find out more in this video.

How can I manage text chats with students at the Fair?

During the setup of your company stand, you can add 1-4 chat topics that students can use on the day of our Fairs to initiate a text chat with your team. This video guide will help you learn how to manage your chats.

What is a Breakout Room?

Breakout rooms consist of one or multiple group call sessions within your stand where you can meet the participants. It provides valuable two-way communication in a more comfortable setting.

This feature is optional depending on your staffing and resources on the day of the Fair. As a default, we have enabled this feature for all exhibitors. If you do not want to avail of this feature, you don’t need to set this up when preparing your stand.

How do I set-up a Breakout Room?

Breakout Rooms are an optional feature available to all exhibitors. Find out more info on how to set-up a Breakout Room here.

Can I reach out to students at the Fair?

Yes, you have the option to reach out to students at the Fair. You will find more information in this video.

How can I make the best use of the Graduateland platform?

Graduateland has a designated knowledge base for exhibitors to help you make the most of your time at our Fairs and attract our students/graduates. Check out this link to articles to help you get started.

What are our top tips on how to connect with our students?

  1. Be clear on how to apply for your graduate programme/graduate entry roles. If you are recruiting for roles across a range of disciplines, consider having separate job adverts to attract students and using unique chat boxes for each discipline/role.

  2. Detailed job descriptions that help students fully understand the role and the skills required are very useful. It can also be helpful to include videos/case studies on a typical day in the life of a graduate in your company.

  3. Use the visual tools available on Graduateland to attract students to your stand, i.e. videos, images, brochures. Check that all your hyperlinks are working and are up-to-date and include your social media handles for students to follow.

  4. Have your company stand set up and video conversation appointment slots ready for Wednesday, 15th September 2021. After this date, students will be able to login to Graduateland to browse company stalls, and book individual video conversations with you.
