Employers play a vital role in transforming our student talent into exceptional young professionals. Hosting an employer event is a great way to reach high-potential students at Trinity, share skills and knowledge, and discuss hot topics in your industry.

Wednesday Webinar - Industry Insights

The Industry Insights webinar series is an opportunity to promote your organisation’s mission, vision and values with students while demonstrating the vital work you perform on a daily basis and providing insights into your industry. Exchange skills and knowledge, and delve into trending industry subjects. 

Think carefully about how to make your event appealing and engaging to students. Use video, polling, collaborative whiteboards, conversation and activities to keep students motivated during the session.  

The Careers service will set up and host webinars live on Zoom. The webinar will also be recorded and sent out to all students who signed up as well as hosted on our Resources Section for all students to watch.

Webinars take place every Wednesday lunchtime 1pm - 2pm.

Online Event Proposals

Before you propose a standalone event, you should take a look at some of the campaign weeks which will be running during the academic year to see if you can contribute to one of these. Campaign weeks are focused on areas which are of particular interest to students and are likely to attract a wide range of students. If you wish to go ahead with a standalone employer event, think about: What will attract students to your event? How will you keep students engaged? What will students take away from the event? What format is best? For example:

  • Skills sessions/workshops
  • Case studies
  • Panel discussions
  • Creative challenges
  • Alumni sessions
  • Hackathons
  • Virtual tours

With an increasing number of online events available to students, please be aware that we cannot guarantee student numbers for your online event.

Targeted Email

Targeted emailing is a valuable communication tool for organisations who wish to grow brand reputation on campus. Targeted emails enable employers to start conversations with interested students about their organisation, opportunities and events via insightful and personalised messaging.

Students who have opted to receive communications from Trinity Careers Service (based on selected preferences) will receive targeted emails.

For all employer online events arranged through the Careers Service we will:

  • Promote the event to students on MyCareer.
  • Advertise your event as a ‘Featured Event Banner’ on MyCareer in the days leading up to the event.
  • Promote the event across our Social Media channels.
