STUDY ABROAD / ERASMUS

Junior Sophister
In the Junior Sophister year, students can apply to participate in an Erasmus or international exchange to study at an overseas university for either half a year or a full year.

Outbound from TrinityBESS
The School of Social Work and Social Policy encourages our students to participate in study abroad programmes. These include departmental and Erasmus exchanges to universities across Europe; and college-wide exchanges to distinguished universities around the world. These programmes provide students with a unique opportunity to not only enrich their academic education but also to gain invaluable intercultural, language, social and civic skills.
Please see the slides from our most recent Outbound Study Abroad Information Session for further information on 2024/25 study abroad opportunities.

The school currently has a selection of Erasmus partners that accept our Junior Sophister Joint Honours students each year. Our current partners are:

To apply, students must submit an online application form. This form opens each October for exchange placements for the following year. Erasmus partners are subject to change.

Only applications submitted online will be accepted and incomplete applications will not be accepted.

College-wide Erasmus

In addition to our school-level Erasmus partners, JH students are also welcome to apply for college-wide Erasmus exchange opportunities through the Coimbra group, European Liberal Arts Network (ELAN) and exchange partners through the school of their second subject.

College-wide Non-EU

There are also opportunities for students to take part in international exchanges to North America, China, Singapore and Australia. These are open to all students on a College-wide basis. There are strict criteria for acceptance within this system, please see the Study Abroad and Exchange website.
