About
The one-day conference brings together researchers and stakeholders involved in studying the first five years of Irish abortion regulation and provision, facilitating discussions on experiences, evidence, and future directions.
Led by the Principal Investigators of the service user and health provider strands of the Review of the Health [Termination of Pregnancy] Act 2018, Dr. Catherine Conlon (Trinity College Dublin) and Dr. Deirdre Duffy (Lancaster University), this conference coincides with post-Review discussions on effectively utilising the evidence and recommendations provided in the Independent Review of abortion services introduced under the Health [Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy] Act 2018, published in April 2023.

Conference Hosts
The ReproCit Project, an HEA-funded North-South research project led by Trinity College Dublin in collaboration with Ulster University and in partnership with Lancaster University, is hosting this conference. The ReproCit Project focuses on investigating the pathways to the legalization of abortion on the island of Ireland and how this intersects with reproductive citizenship.
