Social Policy

Social Policy has been taught at Trinity since the 1960s. Today, social policy staff teach on the BA in Sociology and Social Policy and other programmes and supervise post-graduate students.

Staff research interests include ageing; addictions; child welfare; comparative social policy; crime; health care; history of Irish social policy; housing; social security; and women.

A recent development is a significant research programme on social policy and ageing supported by Atlantic Philanthropies.

The School welcomes enquiries in relation to post-graduate research opportunities in social policy.
