The Business Post has recognised six students and alumni from the School of Computer Science and Statistics in its latest 30 Under 30 Tech list, highlighting some of the exciting young talent shaping Ireland’s technology sector.

The annual list celebrates founders, researchers, builders and community leaders who are making a significant impact across the tech landscape. This year’s recognition of six individuals with strong connections to the School underlines the depth of talent emerging from Trinity and the role the School continues to play in developing the next generation of innovators.

Among those recognised are current students Aditya Joshi, who is studying Computer Science and Business, and Julian Lewandowski, a student on the MSISS programme . As co-organisers of Demos Anon, they have built a reputation as standout performers on the international hackathon circuit, delivering award-winning projects spanning AI, sustainability and autonomous systems while creating spaces for founders and engineers to share ideas and experiments. Aditya and Julian were on the winning team at HackEurope earlier this year

Also featured is Rose Connolly, a PhD researcher and alumna of the MSc in Interactive Digital Media. Her work combines cutting-edge virtual reality research with creative immersive experiences, exploring themes such as grief, neurodivergent gaming and accessibility, and demonstrating how technology can be used in thoughtful and human-centred ways.

Caoilfhionn Ní Dheoráin was recognised for her work as a PhD researcher. A graduate of the Integrated Computer Science programme, she is conducting research at the intersection of AI and sport, using machine learning and video analysis to improve tackle technique and enhance player safety.

The list also includes alumni Tim Farrelly, a Computer Engineering graduate, and Oisín Curran, a Computer Science graduate. As co-founders of HackEurope, they helped grow what began as Hack Trinity through the Trinity Entrepreneurial Society into an international hackathon movement attracting talented builders from across Europe and major industry support.

This strong showing is a source of pride for the School and reflects the ambition, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of its students, researchers and alumni. From research in AI and immersive technologies to startup activity and international community building, these six honourees reflect the breadth of talent and impact across the SCSS community.

We warmly congratulate Aditya, Julian, Rose, Caoilfhionn, Tim and Oisín on this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.
