Join in the Tribute

Trinity College Dublin, in partnership with alumni and friends, wishes to honour Professor John G. Byrne’s extraordinary contribution to the College and to computer science in Ireland.  In 2019, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of his founding of the Department of Computer Science, the first of its kind in Ireland. The School of Computer Science and Statistics is seeking support from alumni and friends to create the John G. Byrne Digital Learning Centre in the E3 Learning Foundry and to endow the John G. Byrne Scholarships.
