Bachelor (BA,BAI) - 4 years or Master’s (MAI) -5 years in Computer Engineering or Electronic and Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering is about understanding how computer systems work and how they integrate with other systems that surround us. Computer Engineers are involved in many hardware and software aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal and supercomputers, to software engineering, and circuit design. Computer Engineers are involved in activities that include writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing operating system, building next-generation high-speed communications networks, and developing secure and pervasive wireless networks. Computer engineers are also suited for robotics research, which relies heavily on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems like motors, communications, and sensors.

Computer Engineering at Trinity

Almost all jobs in engineering require some sort of interaction with co-workers. Whether they are working in a team situation, or just asking for advice, most engineers have to have the ability to communicate and work with other people. Engineers should be creative, inquisitive, analytical, and detail-oriented. They should be able to work as part of a team and to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Computer Engineering in Trinity will give you the opportunity to work closely with the academic staff, postgraduate researchers and industry to help develop these skills.
