The Awards for Excellence in Research Supervision were held on Wednesday evening, hosted by Provost Dr Linda Doyle and Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof Martine Smith, in the Provost's House. The annual event is an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional contribution of research supervisors across Trinity who play a crucial role in supporting the next generation of scholars.

Faculty Award Winners pictured with the Provost and Dean are Christine Morris, Wladislaw Rivkin, John Dinsmore, Lina Zgaga, Evan Keane, and Professor Owen Conlan from the School of Computer Science and Statistics. Professor Conlan is a leading figure in the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity. As Head of the Artificial Intelligence Discipline and Co-Director of the Trinity Centre for Digital Humanities, he has made significant contributions to the fields of AI and personalisation research. With over 220 publications and more than 3,800 citations, Professor Conlan is widely recognised for pioneering creative approaches to personalisation and for empowering users to better understand and interact with complex knowledge and media.

The School of Computer Science and Statistics is proud to see Professor Conlan recognised for his dedication to supporting postgraduate students and for the impact he continues to have on their research journeys.

The event was a lovely acknowledgement of the dedication, time, and expertise that research supervisors contribute to their students and the wider research community.
