The School of Computer Science and Statistics is pleased to announce the election of four academics to Fellowship, along with one Professorial Fellow, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to research, scholarship, and academic life at Trinity College Dublin.

As part of Trinity Monday tradition, five student Scholars from SCSS were also announced.  Scholars are in recognition of results achieved in 'Schols' exams during second year.  

Fellows 2025

Prof. John Kelleher was announced as a Professorial Fellow.  Prof. Melanie Bouroche, Prof. Goetz Botterweck, Prof. Alessio Benavoli and Prof. Dave Lewis were announced as Fellows.  

Scholars 2025

Alexander Robertson, Arnav Sanghi, Hong Shen, Colin Simon-Fellowes, William Sunderland were announced as Scholars.

Fellowships are awarded to those showing excellence in research and scholarship and to acknowledge a professor’s contribution to academic life and teaching in the College

Scholars are awarded to second year students who must perform exceptionally well in exams held in January, showing deep knowledge of their subjects. The students continue with their usual course work as well as studying independently for these exams.
