Trinity College Dublin, in partnership with Three Ireland, is pleased to announce that applications for the 2025 Connect to STEM Undergraduate Scholarships will open on October 3rd. These scholarships aim to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM by targeting undergraduate women.  Applications from gender-diverse and trans students are also encouraged.

For the first time, the scholarships are open to both Junior Fresh (JF) and Senior Fresh (SF) students. Previously, only JF students were eligible. In 2025/26, JF recipients will receive €20,000, while SF recipients will receive €15,000, both awarded over the remaining duration of their undergraduate studies.

The scholarships are open to female students who are resident in Ireland and have accepted a place in one of the following Trinity undergraduate programmes:

  • School of Computer Science & Statistics
  • School of Engineering
  • School of Mathematics
  • School of Physics

Each year, five scholarships are awarded, with 25 scholarships funded over five years since the programme began in 2022/23. The initiative reflects Trinity and Three Ireland’s shared commitment to empowering excellence and innovation in STEM, and to fostering a more diverse and inclusive academic and professional environment.

An information event will be held on October 3rd at 5pm in the foyer of the O'Reilly Institute, open to all students interested in applying. Attendees will learn more about the application process, eligibility criteria, and the impact of the scholarship programme.
