Staff Disability Working Group

Trinity’s Equality Committee is establishing a working group to consider and make recommendations on issues of equality, diversity and inclusion in respect of staff with disabilities in the University.

There are three vacancies to be filled via this open call, as follows:

  • A member of casual staff (including PhD students also employed on the casual payroll)
  • A member of contract research staff
  • A member of staff drawn from academic or professional staff

The vacancies are to be filled via a self-nomination process. Interested parties should complete this self-nomination form (Word doc 15KB) and return it to the Equality Officer by email to equality@tcd.ie, no later than 5pm on Friday 26th March.

Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with personal experience of disability.

About the Trinity Staff Disability Working Group

The working group will be chaired by Professor Na Fu, Trinity Business School, and a broad representation of individuals and offices will be brought together in the group.

The role of the group will be to identify key themes and issues relating to the experiences of staff with disabilities within the university from an equality, diversity and inclusion perspective, and to make recommendations to the Equality Committee in relation to policy, practices and structures for the employment of people with disabilities in Trinity College Dublin. Members are invited to share their experience and expertise in relation to disability equality.

It is anticipated that the group will meet approx. 4-5 times per year, and will report annually to the Equality Committee.

Please don’t hesitate to contact equality@tcd.ie with any questions.
