This fully in person event took place in Trinity on Wednesday 19 April 2023 from 10am to 4pm. The Symposium was supported from grant funding from Higher Education Authority via their competitive Gender Equality Enhancement Fund (GEEF). It was organised in collaboration with our GEEF partners: University College Cork, University College Dublin, University of Galway and Technological University Dublin.
This event was open to all staff working in equality, diversity and inclusion within the higher education sector in Ireland. With particular relevance to staff working on Athena Swan applications at School, unit and institutional levels in Ireland and those active on Athena Swan self-assessment teams (SATs).
The Symposium consisted of stimulating presentations from experts in the field of equality and higher education. Networking opportunities via thematic networking hot-spots during coffee breaks allowed for enhanced connections between attendees to be developed and forged.
