The day will open with a welcome address from Dr Linda Doyle, Provost and President of Trinity College Dublin, alongside Professor Anil Kokaram, Head of the School of Engineering, and Lisa Dillon, former Vice President at Microsoft. Their remarks will set the tone for a programme focused on collaboration, research impact and future opportunities.

The Showcase will feature four core sessions:

Across the day, attendees will hear directly from researchers at all stages, with short presentations covering topics from sustainable energy and advanced manufacturing to health technologies and digital systems.

The event also provides an opportunity for industry partners to connect with researchers and students, explore collaboration opportunities, and gain a clearer view of ongoing work within the School.

Last year’s Showcase, held in the Science Gallery on 29 May 2025, brought together a wide cross-section of the engineering community and was marked by strong engagement from industry. The Research and Innovation Showcase 2026 reflects Trinity Engineering’s continued focus on research that connects directly with real-world application, supported by strong industry links and a collaborative approach.
