Trinity School of Engineering Research & Innovation Showcase 2026

Following the success of our inaugural event in 2025, Trinity College Dublin’s School of Engineering is delighted to announce the return of our Innovate, Collaborate, Engage: Trinity School of Engineering Research and Innovation Showcase in 2026. This year the event will take place from 9:30am on the 21st May, in the Tangent Space, located on the 1st floor of Portal, Trinity Business School.

This flagship event brings together researchers, students, industry partners and collaborators to explore the breadth and depth of engineering research taking place across the School. It offers a clear view of how our work moves from ideas and discovery to impact and application.

The response to our inaugural event last year was overwhelmingly positive, with strong engagement across the day and valuable connections made between academia and industry. The 2026 Showcase builds directly on this momentum.

What to expect in this year

The Research and Innovation Showcase 2026 will once again highlight:

  • Collaborative research addressing real-world challenges in areas such as sustainable energy, advanced manufacturing, health technologies and digital systems
  • Design and research activity from across the School, from early-stage projects to advanced doctoral research
  • Practical pathways for working with the School through partnerships, research collaboration and student projects

The Showcase reflects the School of Engineering’s commitment to research that is both academically rigorous and closely connected to practice.
