Pioneering system ensures money doesnt follow water down the drainProf Aonghus McNabola, project lead of Dŵr Uisce, has been working with National Trust Cymru and researchers from Trinity and Bangor University on a pioneering heat recovery system at Penrhyn Castle. Results show it reduces energy consumption by 230 kWh per month, equivalent to £1,770 per annum in heat savings.

Professor Roger West elected to Fellowship of the Institute of Concrete TechnologyProfessor Roger West was elected to Fellowship of the Institute of Concrete Technology at a symposium held on 7th October in the Davenport Hotel. UNESCO Earth Futures FestivalA film about karst hydrology created by Prof. Laurence Gill has made it to the final of the UNESCO Earth Futures Festival. The film, funded by the SFI iCRAG research centre (https:www.icrag-centre.org/), is based on an original choral composition called (Inception Horizon) sang by the Mellow Tonics choir in the Museum Building just before lockdown started a couple of years ago.
