SUGAR Network

Trinity's School of Engineering is a long-time member of the SUGAR global network for design innovation. SUGAR brings together 24 leading universities from around the world with corporate partners. In this cross- international setting an elite team of MSc level students are assembled in each of two universities where the students work together for an 8-month period with intensive faculty support. This setting allows for the sharing of knowledge and innovative ideas to address real design challenges. The SUGAR network has successfully connected the School of Engineering with Corporate partners to promote excellence to produce inter-cultural design projects.

Unitech Network

Unitech is a programme with 14 industry partners and 7 University partners, specifically focused on developing the next engineering and industrial leaders. Together with Unitech and the University partner, the company partners engage in identifying the internship students, assessing their suitability, and in mentoring/coaching the students in a structured programme. The students then decide on which of the 14 industry partners to undertake their internship. Approximately 70 to 80 students from Europe's leading partner Universities participate each year. It is a well structured and strong programme to attract talent, managed by Unitech. Irish based companies can become part of Unitech and should follow up directly with UNITECH at https://www.unitech-international.org/ or find our more from us here in the School of Engineering.
