Remembering Professor David Berman, 1942-2026
Professor David Berman, Fellow Emeritus and former Head of the Department of Philosophy, has died. He was among the leading Berkeley scholars of his generation and helped establish Irish Philosophy as a field of research.

Dr Michael King and Dr Tara Bedi Receive Research Grant Worth $550,000
Dr Michael King (Department of Economics, TIME) and Dr Tara Bedi (TIME) have been awarded a US$550,000 grant through the New Wave Graduation Research Fund for a new study on gender-focused anti-poverty programmes in Uganda.

Europe's big questions, four nights, four disciplines
As Ireland holds the Presidency of the Council of the EU, the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy asks what Europe stands for now. From the housing crisis to human rights, from transatlantic security to the new face of protest, economists, philosophers, sociologists and political scientists take on the choices shaping Europe's future.
