Heads of Department

Each of the four departments within the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy is led by a Head of Department, who provides academic leadership and oversees its day-to-day running.

Heads of Department guide strategic direction across teaching, research and staffing, working closely with colleagues to maintain academic standards and support the wider work of the School. They sit on the School Executive Committee and act as the main point of contact for staff and students on matters of academic leadership and management.
