Careers and Destinations
BESS graduates are among the most sought-after in Ireland. The combination of analytical rigour, cross-disciplinary thinking and strong communication skills that the programme develops opens doors across a wide range of sectors and careers, in Ireland and internationally.
Graduate outcomes
The vast majority of BESS graduates move into employment or further study within months of completing the programme. Employers who have recruited BESS graduates include Accenture, AIB, the Central Bank of Ireland, Davy Stockbrokers, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Ryanair, Salesforce and the European Central Bank, among many others.
Roles taken up by recent graduates include capital markets analyst, management consulting analyst, corporate finance associate, risk analyst, commercial and policy analyst and graduate economist, reflecting the breadth of career paths the degree supports.

Postgraduate study
Many BESS graduates go on to postgraduate study at Trinity and at leading universities around the world. Recent graduates have studied at institutions including the London School of Economics, Sciences Po, Bocconi University, KU Leuven, Utrecht University and the University of Edinburgh, in fields ranging from applied economics and public policy to finance, accounting and computer science.

Skills and graduate attributes
BESS develops the four Trinity Graduate Attributes: to think independently, to act responsibly, to develop continuously, and to communicate effectively. These are built through the curriculum, through group work and presentations, and through co-curricular activities, and they are precisely the qualities that employers consistently seek.
Careers support at Trinity
Trinity's Careers Advisory Service supports students at every stage of career planning, from exploring options and building a CV to interview preparation and finding graduate vacancies. Students can access the service through MyCareer, Trinity's online careers portal.
Throughout the year, the BESS departments also organise information sessions and employer events specifically for BESS students.
