New PhD Opportunity
Trinity College Dublin has recently launched 40 fully funded PhD positions across a wide variety of disciplines. These doctoral awards are generously funded through alumni donations and Trinity’s Commercial Revenue Unit. Awards are open to EU and Non-EU candidates and include full PhD fee payment for four years and an annual student stipend of €16,000. An award has been funded for the following project: Impact of a novel swallow pre-habilitation programme on adults with oesophageal cancer.

New online resource
An intra-oral cancer atlas has been developed by final year undergraduate student Katie Burke, based on feedback from a recent study. This IOC atlas maybe a useful resource for speech and language therapists.

Instrumental Dysphagia Evaluation Online Course
This continuous professional development (CPD) online course has been developed by the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies in Trinity College Dublin. The clinically focused course aims to provide qualified speech and language therapists and other healthcare professionals with the opportunity to develop their understanding of instrumental dysphagia examinations.
