Dance of the Carbon Cycles Film

The world premiere of the film of Dance of the Carbon Cycles was screened on Thursday 27th November in the Museum Building, Trinity College Dublin. The film documents the first performance of the dance which took place on June 7th 2025 at the Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks in Dublin, as well as acting as an educational resource for others who want to perform the dance.

The Dance of the Carbon Cycles is an immersive and interactive experience that invites participants to explore climate processes through collaborative movement, sound, and storytelling. The activity was designed and led by the originators of the Carbon Dance Cycle concept. The project was devised by Prof. Laurence Gill of Trinity College Dublin, with original music composed by Rob Harbron and Emily Portman. The project was supported by SHIFT.Cost.eu (https://shift-cost.eu/) iCRAG (https://www.icrag-centre.org/) and Roots in Tune (https://www.rootsintune.ie/home).
