Fiona Connolly - Pre-Sessional English Language Programme Instructor
Fiona Connolly is an international ELT consultant currently based in Ireland. She has been involved in training and development on a number of Educational Reform projects for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level teachers from all corners of the world. She is also an experienced Cambridge University CELTA tutor, working with pre-service English Language teachers in a variety of contexts. Fiona has taught English for 30 years and her experience includes English for Academic Purposes to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate learners in a UK/Irish university context, in-company Business English Teaching, Cambridge and IELTS Examination preparation and the teaching of Younger Learners.
Fiona has held Academic Management positions in the Private ELT sector and is skilled in areas such as recruitment, mentoring and monitoring of teaching staff, syllabus design, test writing, and the development of in-house teaching and training materials. She also gained external experience of writing when working for a publishers on coursebook writing and author training projects for the Ministries of Education in the UAE, Kazakhstan and South Sudan.
Fiona is currently an International Oral Examiner for Trinity College London.
