Dr. Agnieszka Pedrak

Dr Agnieszka Pedrak holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College Dublin. With a BA (Hons) in English Studies, specialising in translation and interpreting, a BA and an MA in Polish Studies focused on linguistics and communication, and a postgraduate diploma in Education, she has a solid background in language education. Her research examines heritage language maintenance and pedagogy in migration contexts, particularly exploring how participation in complementary schooling can influence identity negotiation and the transmission of heritage language and culture. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to teaching languages in Ireland, actively designing and implementing initiatives promoting bilingualism both locally and online, with a specific focus on approaches that support language teaching and learning in diverse environments.
