It supports the establishment of innovative partnerships between academia and industry to drive innovation in the diagnostics, pharma, medical technologies, life sciences and clinical spaces. BioLAGO coordinates a competence network for diagnostics (‘DiagNET’) funded by the EU within the Interreg programme.

Professor Sheils commented, “TTMI is excited to join the BioLAGO Health Network. There is tremendous potential for collaboration between our Institute, sister Institutes within Trinity and the academic and industrial partners within the BioLAGO Network. Having a broad academic and industrial collaborative network throughout Europe is key to driving successful disruptive research”.

Professor Klaus P. Schäfer, Board Member of BioLAGO stated, “BioLAGO is honored and proud to welcome TTMI among our members. We expect that tapping the competencies of the members of our network will lead to new and fruitful collaborations and projects”.

Trinity Translational Medicine Institute is located at St James’s Hospital, the largest university teaching hospital in Ireland.
