Trinity Today – Responding to the College Community

Posted on: 11 November 2009

The latest edition of Trinity Today, Trinity’s publication for alumni and friends of the College, is now available online.  The annual magazine aims to build on the strong bonds that link alumni to each other and their alma mater by encouraging input from alumni and friends.

Commenting on the magazine, Alumni Director John Dillon said: “This year we tried something different – we asked our readers what they wanted and the response was overwhelming.  Of course with such a varied demographic, there were many diverging opinions and requests, but there were some common themes we’ve tried to work on for this publication.  For example, alumni want to hear from other alumni around the world as well as what’s going on in the College.  It sounds obvious, but we need to reflect the activities and opinions of the entire Trinity community, including alumni, students, staff and friends of the College.”

Highlights from this edition include: a special feature on the role of Trinity in creating opportunity out of change, including the Vice Provost’s reflections on how these issues are informing the College’s Strategic Plan 2009-14; an interview with our Chancellor Mary Robinson; Patrick Guinness insights on the Guinness family connection with Trinity, plus many more interviews and news from around the College community.

The next issue will be despatched in October 2010.  Any submissions for consideration for this issue should be sent to Trinity Foundation, email: foundation@tcd.ie or visit website: www.tcd.ie/alumni
