Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology Awards for TCD Researchers

Trinity College Dublin researchers have been successful in the 2009/10 scholarship and award competitions the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET).

TCD researchers achieved 40 out of 194 IRCSET’s Embark Initiative Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme. This initiative is funded by the State under the National Development Plan and is aimed at knowledge creation for the long term benefit of society and the economy.  The Fellowship is valued at up to €40,000 per annum for a maximum of two years. 

TCD researchers were also successful in the IRCSET postdoctoral fellowship EMPOWER and INPSIRE schemes. Three TCD researchers out of 20 awardees received an INSPIRE – Marie Curie International Mobility Fellowship and ten TCD researchers out of 50 awardees received an EMPOWER Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship.
