Ms. Fiona Mc Intyre

Fiona currently works in the Department of Sociology where she is responsible for all administrative functions and daily running of the Department including the financial purchasing and organisation of all Department events. Additionally, Fiona manages all aspects related to both undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. The PG programme comprises two distinct master programmes and the PG research students.

Fiona has strong connections to the Gaeltacht region and possesses a profound appreciation for the Irish language and pursued her education at Coláiste Teicniúil na Gaillimhe reading for foundation level degree – Staidear Gno & Gaelilge. She also holds a certificate qualification in Office Administration from Dorset College. She has also previously worked as a ‘cúntóir’ at the Gaeltacht and in both the public and private sectors.
