Andrew is the Research and Policy Officer for the Centre of Economics, Policy and History (CEPH), a centre of research excellence in economic history that was established between Trinity College Dublin and Queen's University Belfast. As Research and Policy Officer, Andrew is responsible for coordinating the outreach, data and research efforts of the Centre. This involves event organisation and planning, hosting events for the general public, research translation and dissemination, podcasting and more.

Andrew originally studied economics and history at undergraduate level, before pursuing a masters and PhD in history. This role is his first position since achieving his doctorate, having been an active tutor and teaching assistant in both DCU and UCD throughout his postgraduate studies.
