The annual Student Prize Ceremony for the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy took place on December 2nd in the Synge Theatre, with over 100 students, faculty, and guests in attendance. The event brought the School community together to honour outstanding student achievements across various disciplines. 

During the ceremony, 48 awards were presented, including 30 undergraduate prizes, 2 postgraduate awards, and recognition of 7 Foundation Scholars and 9 Gold Medal recipients. 

In his opening address, Professor Paul O’Grady, Head of School, praised students for their dedication and academic excellence, and highlighted the importance of the social sciences and philosophy in addressing global challenges. He also extended thanks to the generous benefactors, whose support make these recognitions possible.
