Delivered jointly by the Department of Economics at Trinity College Dublin and the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), the course equips students to understand, interpret and contribute to evidence-based policymaking in an Irish and international context.

The programme is delivered over two academic years and includes three twelve-week teaching terms and a dissertation.

  • Year 1 includes two terms of core modules taught on Fridays.
  • Year 2 includes a term of specialist policy electives and a dissertation (10,000–15,000 words), supported by individual supervision.
