Trinity College Dublin’s MBA programmes are now ranked in the top 10 MBA programmes in western Europe, according to the latest rankings for Best Masters courses. The latest Eduniversal Best Masters rankings showed that both the Trinity MBA (full-time) and the Executive MBA (full and part-time) in the School of Business have improved on their placements in 2014. The rankings for higher education institutions in western Europe also showed that Trinity postgraduate business programmes continued to outperform other top-tier institutions in both Ireland and the UK.

The Eduniversal Best Masters 2014 – 2015, which rates institutions’ business schools, placed Trinity Business School’s full-time MBA programme in 9th position (up from 12th place in 2014) making it the top-ranked full-time MBA in Ireland. The same rankings place the University of Oxford, Said Business School at 11th position and University College Dublin’s Smurfit School of Business in 23rd place.

Trinity Business School’s new part-time MBA ranked in 6th place (up from 7th place in 2014) which placed it ahead of the business schools at both Oxford and Cambridge. UCD Smurfit is placed in 28th position while Dublin City University Business School is ranked in 38th place.

In addition, several other Masters’ programmes in the School of Business at Trinity also performed well and were placed in the Top 20 business schools in western Europe. Trinity’s MSc in International Management was ranked in 9th place ahead of UCD in 17th place while Trinity’s MSc in Corporate Finance was ranked in 19th place ahead of UCD Smurfit in 24th place.

Head of the Trinity Business School, Dr Jim Quinn, said the latest rankings highlighted the quality of business programmes offered to postgraduate students at Trinity and underlined its position as a premier university for business education.

“We are delighted that Eduniversal’s 2015 ranking of 4,000 best Masters and MBAs worldwide reveals Trinity Business School to be among the top-ranked in western Europe. We believe that small class sizes, research-led teaching, and specialist technical modules give students a differentiated, valuable degree,” said Dr Quinn.

The Eduniversal Best Masters 2015 rankings follow the New York Times’ Global Employability University Ranking in December which placed Trinity in the top 150 global universities employers rated most highly. Trinity was ranked 110th in the world and 53rd in Europe for employability and was the only Irish university to make that list.
