Graduates from Trinity College Dublin are among the most employable and workplace ready in the world according to the just published Times Higher Education 2018 Global University Employability Rankings. Trinity College Dublin is the only university in Ireland to feature in the top 150 institutions worldwide for employability based on a global survey of 7,000 recruitment and international managers from major businesses. This year’s ranking sees Trinity in 120th place, up from 131st last year.

Commenting on the results, Director of Careers at Trinity, Orla Bannon, said:
“Trinity students and graduates continue to be highly employable with transferable skills that are valued by employers. During their time at Trinity, students get the opportunity to develop key employability skills that allow them to succeed not just in their careers but in their future lives as individuals and members of society. We work to continuously develop employer-student engagement in innovative ways so students can improve their career and workplace readiness and the Trinity Employability Awards are good examples of this.”

Trinity’s Vice-Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Professor Chris Morash added:
“A Trinity education enables our students to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. We want our students to develop their skills and graduate attributes to succeed in their studies and in their careers. They are therefore prepared for the ever-changing challenges of the 21st century workforce. Today’s ranking is a testament to their hard work in achieving that.”
