Trinity 28th in the world in University Impact Rankings

Trinity College Dublin was named 28th best university in the world when it comes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the new University Impact Rankings from Times Higher Education issued today (April 3, 2019).

Trinity was 10th in the world when it comes to climate action and 18th in the world when it comes to partnerships with other organisations.

THE developed rankings to measure an institution’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals through its teaching, research and knowledge transfer. It also seeks to measure how an institution embodies the goals in internal practices, policies and procedures.

The ranking agency looked at more than 450 institutions based on its contributions to eleven of goals: Health & Well-Being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work & Economic Growth, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Construction and Production, Climate Action, Peace Justice & Strong Institutions, and Partnerships.
