Royal Visit to Trinity College Dublin – 17 May 2011

Due to restrictions surrounding the Royal visit, Lincoln Place will remain closed from 9.45am – 1pm approximately, on Wednesday 18th May.  To facilitate access to and egress from the College, Pearse Street gate, opposite the Garda station, will be open during these restrictions.

Trinity College Dublin is pleased to announce that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh will visit the College on Tuesday 17 May 2011 during their State Visit to Ireland.

The entire campus will be closed to the general public from 6.00pm on Saturday 14 May until 5.30pm on Tuesday 17 May. The Old Library and Book of Kells exhibition, Science Gallery, and Douglas Hyde Gallery will be closed during this period and the Chapel will be closed after religious services on Sunday 15 May. Trinity Tours will not operate on these days.  Access to the Sports Centre during this period is available to TCD students and staff only.

A limited number of College buildings will be closed for normal business from 6.00pm on Saturday 14 May and will reopen at 5.30pm on Tuesday 17 May. However, those offices affected will be offering a curtailed service on the day. Details of these services with relevant contact details will be published on the individual areas’ websites.
