Register for ’strategies for Successful Ageing’ Free Online Course

How do you feel about ageing? What choices are you making to stay happy, healthy, socially-connected and active as you age? The Trinity EngAGE Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) – Strategies for Successful Ageing – is now open for registration on the FutureLearn platform.

This free five-week MOOC launches on the 8th of February 2016.  It presents world-leading research in ageing and offers strategies to support health and well-being.  The lead educator is Professor Rose Anne Kenny, Director of Mercer's Institute for Successful Ageing and Founder of The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA).  She is joined by Trinity EngAGE Principal Investigators including: Professors Davis Coakley, Brian Lawlor, Ian Robertson, Des O’Neil, Virpi Timonen, Sabina Brennan, Fiona Newell, Richard Layte and Dr David Thomas. 

Early in 2015, representatives from six of Age Friendly Ireland’s Older People’s Councils gathered at Trinity College Dublin to assist in the development of this course by Trinity EngAGE, Trinity’s Centre for Research in Ageing.  Additionally, Age & Opportunity and the Irish Museum of Modern Art have contributed content.
