Pop up vaccination centre to open again on campus

Posted on: 18 October 2021

A HSE pop up vaccination centre will be open again on campus on Wednesday 20 October from 8.30am – 6pm in the Marquee at New Square. This is a walk-in clinic for all students and staff and no appointment is necessary. The clinic will provide first or second doses.

It will be also be open to students from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, National College of Art and Design, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Marino Institute of Education and Griffith College.

The aim is to maximise vaccine uptake in those who have not yet availed of vaccination, including international students, and to build on the gains already achieved with the vaccine programme.

“I strongly encourage as many people as possible to participate in the vaccination programme. This pop up centre is especially beneficial to our international students who may not have a recognised vaccination in Ireland,” explained Dr David McGrath, Director of College Health Service.

Pop-up vaccination centres were established across 15 higher education sites two weeks ago. Over 3,000 students received a vaccine with 53% of them receiving their first dose.

When coming to the pop up vaccination centre, please bring your: Personal Public Service (PPS) number – if you have one; Eircode; mobile phone number; email address; and photo ID that has your date of birth – this can be a passport, driving licence, Garda age card, or student card.
