‘Michaelmas Market’ by the Campanile

Posted on: 02 December 2019

This year Trinity will host its first Christmas Market for the College community on campus.

‘Michaelmas Market’ by the Campanile will take place from 2pm to 9pm on Front Square with students, staff and some alumni selling hand-made products and Christmas gifts items, see some more details listed below.

There will be festive entertainment from 6pm with performances from the University of Dublin Choral Society and the College Diverse Voices choir and the Walkulele Band will be on Front Square at 7pm.

Market stall goods will include jewellery, art, 3D printed gifts, cards, knits, baked goods, books and more. Many stalls will be selling eco-friendly products so keep an eye out for the eco-signs. The Market’s aim is to be as sustainable as possible so people are asked to bring their own bag for purchased items.

Proceeds from the event raised from stall rental and collections on the day will go to the Trinity Student Assistance Fund and many stall holders are selling in support of charities of their choice.
